Abstract

　뉴스는 세상을 살아가는 데 필요한 정보들을 제공해준다는 점에서 매우 유용하다. 하지만 우리는 현 언론사들을 통해 뉴스를 접하는데 있어 몇 가지 불편함을 느끼고 있다.
　　
　예를 들어, ‘코로나19’에 대해 조사하기 위해 뉴스 기사를 검색한다고 가정하자. 검색을 하자마자 매 시간 쏟아지는 수십 만 개의 기사들로부터 다양한 스펙트럼의 내용들과 여러 중복되는 내용들을 마주하게 된다. 이는 단기간의 상황을 파악하는 데는 도움이 될 수 있지만, ‘코로나19’가 초기부터 지금까지 어떠한 흐름으로 진행되어 왔는지를 파악하기는 어렵게 한다.
　　
　따라서 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 ‘뉴익’이라는 앱을 만들게 되었다. ‘뉴익’은 ‘뉴스를 익히다.’, ‘뉴스가 유익하다.’라는 의미를 담고 있다. ‘뉴익’은 뉴스 기사 빅 데이터를 토대로 토픽 모델링을 진행하여, 시기 별 주요 사건의 흐름을 한눈에 파악할 수 있게 한다. ‘뉴익’은 기사 본문을 요약하고, 유사한 뉴스들을 묶어서 보여주기 때문에 사용자가 더욱 빠르고 편리하게 원하는 내용을 찾을 수 있다. 특히 우리는 ‘뉴익’을 통해 특정 사건을 큰 흐름 속에서 주시함으로써 폭 넓은 안목을 갖출 수 있다.

　News is very useful in that it provides the information necessary to live in the world. However, we experience some inconveniences when we see the news through the current media.
　　
　For example, suppose you search for news articles to research ‘COVID-19’. when you search, you encounter redundant and wide range of contents from hundreds of thousands of articles which is pouring continuously. This can help to understand the short-term situation, but it makes it difficult to understand how the situation of ‘COVID-19’ has been going on from the beginning to the present.
　　
　Therefore, to solve these problems, we create the app called ‘뉴익’. ‘뉴익’ means ‘Master the news.’, ‘The news is beneficial.’. The app conducts topic modeling algorithm with big data of news article so that you can grasp the flow of major events by period at a glance. Also, it summarizes the text of the article and shows similar news in a bundle. Therefore users can find the content which they want faster and more conveniently. In particular, users can have a broad perspective by watching certain events in a large flow with ‘뉴익’.
